Gosling Retreat at Goose Bay is located on the Susquehanna River at the north end of Goodyear Lake, just 10-15 minutes from Cooperstown. You can relax and enjoy the scenery and all the wildlife this area has to offer - geese, ducks, egrets, herons, and even eagles!
There is an easy boat launch on the property, and a canoe and kayak are provided for your use! A three-season sunroom on the back of the house is the perfect place to relax and recharge with your family or someone special.

Whether you're vacationing in the area for the Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown Dreams Park, All Star Village, Cooperstown Baseball World, Glimmerglass Opera, the Fenimore Art Museum, or the Farmer's Museum, Gosling Retreat at Goose Bay is ideally located just minutes between Oneonta and Cooperstown.

Gosling Retreat at Goose Bay is the larger lock-off unit in a rambling ranch house, perfect for 2 couples or a family with children. It features 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. There are 3 flat screen smart Roku TVs (including a 55" (or larger) TV in the main living room), and best of all, an amazing waterfront location to relax and recharge!

Gosling Retreat boasts an spacious living room with a beautiful bamboo floor and an enclosed porch overlooking the water for relaxing and enjoying the view whatever the weather. The kitchen features beautiful granite flooring, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator with automatic ice maker and a dishwasher. It is fully equipped with all the necessary cooking utensils to provide the comforts of home, including the ever-popular combo coffee maker that can brew a full pot or a single K-cup.

Central air conditioning, high speed wireless internet (Wi-Fi) , and a washer and dryer are all standard amenities.

NOTE:  This is a lock off unit in a larger home. The other sections of the home are rented by permanent residents. All interior spaces are not shared.  Each unit has their its own separate entrance, living spaces, bathrooms and bedrooms.  They only shared spaces would be all the outdoor spaces such as the dock and firepit area, the yard and patio with gas grill. 

I am a local host and the property owner. I have lived in the area all my life, and live just 15 minutes from the property for any questions or concerns you may have. I am just a phone call or text away if you need me.

Conveniently located, you can be in Oneonta for shopping or Cooperstown for dining in just minutes. The rural surroundings are the perfect place to have a relaxing long weekend, family vacation or an extended "workcation" (long term renters welcome). There is a kayak shop right next door to rent stand up paddle boards and more water sports equipment if the kayak and canoe we provide are not enough!

A car will be necessary to thoroughly enjoy the area. Taxis, Uber and Lyft may be available, but not plentiful in the area.

We’ve always taken pride in our clean and fresh homes, and we know this is more important than ever. In an abundance of caution, on top of our already rigorous cleaning procedures, our housekeepers have been given an even more robust disinfecting checklist, noting increased attention to heavily trafficked areas and frequently touched surfaces. We have increased cleaning supply orders utilizing CDC-recommended disinfectants to be sure we have the necessary product on hand to prepare your unit prior to your stay. Because of the extra steps necessary to prepare your unit, will are unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs at this time.

Cancellation Policy: Ninety percent (90.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 30 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 30 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
